Numbers

• 2(3) - hit system requires
• 34(51) sectors assembled
• 236(353) modules assembled
• These numbers include yield and spares.
• The most time-consuming part of module assembly
  is adding the cable to the flex hybrid and
  testing flexcable.
• 247(371) flex cable are required
• 100 have been done to date.
• Rate is 2/FTE-day technician.
• Strategy has been to run this production in the
  background as filler work for available
  technicians.
• Given enough flexcable, bare module delivery
  limits the rate of module assembly.

Sector loading

• With present tooling loading rate is 2-3
  modules/FTE-day.
• With final tooling and procedure, only the single
  pre-production sector has been loaded so far
  (just finished today)
• Have planned for 1/week sector loading testing
  rate.
• With start date Aug. 1 (to allow for building of
  module buffer and test setup development), this
  completes the 2 hit system in April 05.
• Acceleration of loading beyond 1/week is clearly
  possible. Faster testing would be more difficult.
