CANDIDATE DIARIES (Applying to Foundation,
Intermediate and Advanced LevelS) ? Candidates
beginning their Welsh Baccalaureate programmes
from September 2008 must use the candidate diary
produced by WJEC. ? Candidates who began their
Welsh Baccalaureate programmes before September
2008 may use either those produced by WJEC, or
centre produced candidate diaries approved by
WJEC. The candidate diary can be found on the
teachers section of the Welsh Baccalaureate
website.

level ?Key Skills usually contextualised, taught
and developed through WBQ core and options

APPLYING TO ADVANCED LEVEL ? Candidates may
substitute a qualification in A Level Computing
or ICT at Grade E or above for the Level 3 key
skill requirement in ICT. ? Candidates may
substitute a qualification in GCSE ICT at Grade C
or above for the Level 2 key skill requirement in
ICT.

may substitute a qualification in GCSE Computer
Studies, ICT or Information Systems at Grade C or
above for the Level 2 key skill requirement in
