DAQ System

• available hardware
• HW nearly complete for 2 sites 4 DAQ chains
  spares
• all tested and functional
• on one MB a power transistor was blown in
  operation spare parts have arrived...
• non-critical gaps
• some expensive commercial components
• hold back in the ordering to guarantee
  functionality
• will be ordered now ? available by early Nov/04
• custom cables
• currently under production
• non-time critical HW for special tests
• spares of FLICK cards
• critical gaps
• 2nd ZIF board with chip or assembly
• 1st HV divider ( 3 more later on)
• HPD prototype ( 1st preseries HPD later on)

Infrastructure

• 1st set of mechanical setups is 95 finished
• dark box feed through light tightness test
  missing
• LED light sources cabling still needed
• pin hole mask ready
• RF cages for electronics/HV supply/field card
  95 ready (some cabling still to come)
• LED trigger box operational with improved
  circuit (aim for a PCB by Dec/04)
• arrangement fits on one laboratory table
  (excluding DAQ PC)
• 3 more sets are to come till Dec/04
• HPD storage still needs to be agreed and
  organised
• proposal needs to be discussed and agreed by
  Thierry
• shipment procedures for HPD needs to get defined

• PC setup complete
• Win XP, service applications, HW drivers,
  Labview installed and tested
• for 4 DAQ PCs
• PTS software
• adoptions to our setup done
• runs now also with PP JTAG interface done
• stand-alone steering of Matsusada HV supply done
• stand-alone read-back of PT100 temperature
  sensors done
• steering of bias supply works on VISA level, VI
  to come
• read-back of pA meter works on VISA level, VI to
  come
• top level VI which integrates and links all
  features still to come (by Dec/04)

Conclusions

• the setup of the photodetector test facilities is
  on track
• 1 DAQ chain is 95 of being operational
• 4 working DAQ chains are expected by Dec/04
• PTS and stand-alone software is working
• further software integration has to come till
  Dec/04
