  • Born In Wrington, Somerset England
  • Important Life Events In 1652, went to
    Christchurch where he learned much about
    philosophy.
  • Important Influences Isaac Newton, Richard
    Busby, and Descartes.

  • Wrote An Essay Concerning Human Understanding.
    It portrayed his scientific/philosophical views
    of the human mind.

  • Believed that the sources of all knowledge were
    sense, experience, and reflection.
  • Believed that signs don't represent things but
