4.2 Topic Templates drafting who does what ?

• Round 1 (Oct - Dec 2002) produced several TT too
  much locally oriented, without the needed
  European grade, lacking of completeness of
  analysis and of technical depth.
• After Athens WS (Dec 2002) all partners were
  invited to provide input to all TT only Venice
  replied with extended input gtgtgt Do we have a
  methodological failure ?
• WE have to set up small groups (3, 4 partners)
  for the Improved Analysis of each Topic (one
  drafter and 2 assistant cities or partners)
• In any case, the WP Leader has to guarantee the
  technical contents and the European dimension
  of each TT

4.3 How to improve Topic Templates ?Check list
for future drafters/reviewers

• The INTRODUCTION has to explain why the topic is
  considered and its boundaries (vs the other
  Topics)
• The DISCUSSION section must be systematic,
  technically advanced (but easily understandable
  by users) and of European dimension
• The RECOMMENDATIONS must be based on local and EU
  experience (e.g. EC Projects results)
• EXAMPLES and FURTHER READING must include EC
  projects and local projects (e.g. demonstration
  projects on measures or vehicles tested ) and
  list relevant documents and web sites

Developing Templates until June 2003

• Step 1 The drafter (WPL or other expert
  partner) drafts .. By April 30 (2003)
• meanwhile assistant cities are defined in two
  weeks (April 5 -2003) (volounteer basis)
• meanwhile Cities provide 3 EXAMPLES abstracts
  (10 lines in english) by April 30 (show Author,
  date, ref. Main Topic and other ones (?)) gtgtgt WPL
  selects Examples when they are received or by Mid
  May at the latest
• Step 2 Assistant partners provide input for
  each TT by May 30 cities provide extended
  documentation (1 page summary (format by DvdH in
  April ?) and-or file/link) on selected Examples
• Step 3 final assembly, upgrade, completion by
  WPL of all TT by June 23 (distribution in view of
  Leipzig meeting)
