Content Development Model
  • Distribute the work to faculty led teams around
    the State of Wisconsin
  • Faculty assemble UG research teams containing
    math, science, and education students
  • The faculty leader determines the exact
    model/processes to fit their situation
  • Content teams create a small number of LO
    Storyboards and review the work of others
  • Results are sent to student programmers

  • Provide different approaches to the problem
    solution whenever possible
  • Tie Self-Check Questions to the State, National,
    and PRAXIS standards

Typical Content Team Duties
  • Perform a Lesson Study of each problem
  • Review Literature and Standards
  • Develop Content for Tutorials (Storyboard)
  • Determine a Hint
  • Design the Sandbox Concept
  • Script (and perform) the ChalkTalk
  • Write Practice Questions and answers, with
    appropriate feedback

Development Models
  • Each Team could go about the process a bit
    differently.

PRAXIS-WI Team Support
  • Currently, there is support for 12 Teams provided
    by the Learning Technology Development Council.
  • Financial Support
  • 250 per student content writer (up to 4)
  • 700 per faculty member
  • Expectations
  • Produce 4 or 5 high quality LOs
  • Review the work of others

Sandbox and Tutorials
  • These are FLASH driven portions of the LOs.
  • You can oversee the development of the FLASH
    components (additional support will be provided).
  • Tutorials on how to build the components are
    available at the Co-Lab sitewww.praxiswi.com
  • Another option is to outsource the FLASH
    development (the Institute will facilitate this).
