Strategies for Success
  • Students who have goals and a sense of direction
in college are more likely to stay in school and
    graduate.
  • Students who are committed to a well-explored
career plan are more likely to succeed in their
    careers.

3
Major Career Exploration
  • Wouldn't it be great to love going to work most
    days?
  • What if you could turn a passion into a career
goal and find a major that would lead to it?
  • How motivated would you be if your university
education could take you to places you have
    dreamed about?

4
Career Development at ASU
  • You have the opportunity to make informed choices
    based on self-understanding, research, and
    reality testing.
  • Matching interests to choice of major and career
promotes satisfaction and success in career.

what they really wanted to do later (1,245
graduates or 83 of the population).
  • Category B graduates pursued their true
interests, sure that money would eventually
follow (255 graduates or 17 of the population.
  • Twenty years later, there were 101 millionaires
in that group of 1,500 business students.
  • Category A graduates had 1 millionaire.
  • Category B graduates had 100 millionaires.
