3Definition of a Cluster
A cluster is a group of companies in
geographical proximity that benefit from an
active set of relationships among themselves to
increase individual efficiency and
competitiveness. A cluster represents a
critical mass of information, skills,
relationships and infrastructure in a particular
field. By clustering, businesses can increase
productivity, accelerate innovation and stimulate
new business formation.
