- How to prevent your poultry from being infected
by Avian Influenza? - General Hygiene of coops is important
- Spray with disinfectant in and around the chicken
coops - Proper vaccination of domestic poultry is
necessary. - Use separate shoes for entering chicken coup.
- Use chicken wire with small mesh so that smaller
animals and birds could not enter the chicken
coup. - Avoid direct contact with dead poultry/birds/feces
. If contact is really necessary, use gloves and
mask and protective clothes and wash body hands
with soap. - Avoid generating dust when burying dead birds or
their feces. Spraying or sprinkle water dampens
the area first. - If you find sick or dying birds (of any species)
in your neighborhood, report it to the nearest
