Armed Forces Leavers Support Application
  • Use of text messaging to support service leavers
  • Concept has been trialled in NHS with tracking
    mental health
  • Veterans contacted on a regular basis to confirm,
via a series of text questions, satisfactory
    resettlement
  • Issues supported may be personalised to be
    appropriate to the individual
  • Additional questions would help to monitor the
    individuals mood
  • Problems would be highlighted to the back
office function where appropriate action could
    be taken
  • Will probably need some goodies for the service
leaver to encourage use (e.g. Forces discount
    info, regimental news, pension advice
  • Will complement education/training process, Live
    at-Ease Plus, MoD reporting, etc.
