Navajo Code Talkers
The Navajo language had no alphabet and no
symbols. Only those Navajo living in the
Southwest U.S. knew it. Throughout the Pacific
campaign from Midway to Iwo Jima, the Code
Talkers were considered indispensable to the war
effort. 379 took part during the war. These men
finally received recognition in 1969. Why do you
