  a once in a lifetime chance in the court of our
  dear King Arthur, I have been sent here to
  recruit a few good knights and maids.

Tasks

• Ye, lads and lasses are to find out the steps and
  duties from page to knighthood?
• Ye are to find out the armor worn by a knight
  during the crusades and also at tournaments.
• Who is qualified?
• What age can you begin?
• What are your daily routines?
• What is your code of conduct?
• Please be aware of resources around the computer,
  text book, hand outs

DUTIES (Guide Criteria)

• JOURNAL about your first days into knighthood.
• DRAW some equipment you might use.
• Keep an ONGOING-JOURNAL about events that are
  happening.
• RE-ENACT (safely) a tournament in the jousting
  category.

Ye are to make a guide to inform the class of
your adventure into knighthood

• This manual is to be a comprehensive look into
  knighthood.
• Include information from your fellow knights
• Please be explicit and systematic when creating
  each piece of your guide.
• Label each section.

BANNER/SHIELD

• This banner will be placed upon the area in which
  you work everyday.
• Before you begin you must make a shield with your
  fellow knights and maids.
• Please make authentic coat of arms for your
  shields/banners.
• Test your knowledge of shield terminology.

Weapons expert

• Responsibilities
• What weapons will you need? Explain
• What is best equipment when you go on your
  journey? Explain
• How much do they weigh? - Write weight and draw
  specific weapon.
• Draw your most valuable weapon choice and explain
  why you chose this weapon.

Armor Expert

• Equip your knight with the proper attire to train
  and fight.
• Equip your jouster with the proper attire to
  attend the jousting competition. List Draw what
  your jouster will wear, you are the key for your
  jousters safety..
• Weight of Jousters Attire
• Will work closely with jouster and horse expert.

Research assistant

• Find out who qualifies to knighthood.
• Who participates in a tournament?
• At what age do you begin training, where would
  you be at in training at your current age?
• A Knights Tale short history/timeline of where
  knighthood it came from

Horse Expert

• This person will find information about the horse
  that a knight might need.
• List common breeds used for jousting. What horse
  was most durable?
• You will also be in charge of care and equipping
  the horse for battle.
• Weight of armor worn by horse.
• Needs to be considered when prepping your horse
  for the tournament.
• Will work closely with jouster and armor expert.

Jouster

• The jouster will re-enact the jousting event
  during the contest
• The jouster will need to find out about
  equipment, competition format, rules, and
  disqualifications.
• 2 assistants, the armor expert and horse expert
  will work closely with the jouster in preparation
  for the tournament.
• The armor expert will be in charge of equipping
  the jouster.
• The horse expert will be in charge of the horses
  armor.
• These 3 will have to work hand in hand in order
  for the tournament to be a success.

Chivalry Expert

• Teach fellow classmates how to be chivalrous.
• Use chivalry in your community for the week while
  you are completing this project.
• Remember you will get funny looks but you will
  also have an opportunity to teach about what you
  are learning too!!
• Document reactions in your ongoing journal.

  for completion of the activity.
