year. Early Adolescence Through Young Adulthood
(EAYA) World Languages Other than English (WLOE)

certificates will be dictated by demand.

- Scorers are all recognized practicing teachers in
the certificate-area. - Bias, validity and reliability checks are in
place (has higher reliability rates than AP exam).

23Another Option
- TAKE ONE is a stand alone professional
development activity for school groups or
individual teachers. - Teachers may begin the National Board process by
participating in the introductory TAKE ONE
program by completing one videotape entry.
24What is TAKE ONE?
- Participants will
- Complete a specified video portfolio entry using
a classroom of PreK-12 students. - Submit the entry to NBPTS to be scored by April
15, 2009. - Can apply their scores within two years when they
begin the whole process of National Board
Certification.
25TAKE ONE Entry Support
- LCs and RCs will work with teachers and
administrators in schools, districts, and ROEs to
design and arrange with NBCTs to deliver support
sessions. - Districts or ROEs may offer CPDU credit.
- Twelve 2 to 3-hour sessions from fall until the
April due date. - Participants work in groups to complete one
designated videotape entry to submit to NBPTS for
scoring.
