- Stimulating dissemination and exploitation of the
information and best practices taking into
consideration the proper information
accelerator of the international cooperation as
one of the most dynamic factor for developing the
cooperation in the form of specific maritime
field oriented brokerage events.

1st Brokerage Event devoted to Environment
Protection in Ship Conversion and Repair
Processes specific thematic field was organized
in Gdansk, Poland dated 6th of March 2007
2nd Brokerage Event devoted to Modular
Waterborne Transport specific thematic field was
organized in Gdansk, Poland dated on 14th May
2007
3rd Brokerage Event devoted to The Danube 7th
Pan-European Transport Corridor a New Challenge
for Countires of Central Europe specific
thematic field was organized in Zillina,
Slovakia dated on 05th February 2008
4th Brokerage Event devoted to Generating of New
Ideas about Maritime Technology -2nd FP7 Call
was organized in Istanbul, Turkey, dated on 04th
April 2008

- Providing the researchers from these countries
with support related to preparation of new
project proposals.
HOW WE ACHIEVED THE 3RD OBJECTIVE
1st project proposal called Modular Waterborne
Transport of MOWAT acronym was elaborated and
submitted under first call of FP7.
The main objectives of the project proposal
- development of special dedicated ship modules
for easy composition for efficient
transportation of any cargo - application of low-emission power modules eg.
fuel cells, hybrid engines - development of fleet management philosophy

9WORK PERFORMED VS. 3RD OBJECTIVE
2 project proposal called Environment Protection
in Ship Conversion and Repair Processes of
ENVIPROCON acronym was elaborated and submitted
under first call of FP7.
The main objectives of the project proposal
- Elaboration the supported tools, which linked
together create the environment protection
management system for ship repair and
conversion - Model and predict the environment impact of the
technological processes deployed in ship repair
yards - Conduct economical analysis of the influence of
the introduction of the system on the shipyard
competitiveness and efficiency.

10WORK PERFORMED VS. 3RD OBJECTIVE
3 project proposal called Optimization of
Transport Flows in Central and South - East
European Car Manufacturing Sector for reduction
of Environmental Impact and Costs of OPTIMUS
Acronym was elaborated and submitted under second
call of FP7.
The main objectives of the project proposal
- Elaboration of feasibility study
- Economic analysis
- Matching the priorities of car manufacturing
sector with waterborne transport.

- Further consolidating the maritime national
contact points established within project partner
countries by bringing them closely to the
European Research Area
HOW WE ACHIEVED THE 4TH OBJECTIVE
- 10 Maritime related Contact Points established
within former project of ENCOMAR-TRANSPORT
acronym were further consolidated by awareness
rising activities and by Intent Letter covering - Dissemination of the information on the FP7 and
the workshops - Support in the process of matching the
partners, finding and joining a proper
consortium - Consultation in the scope of the project
application preparation - Dissemination of the information on the
projects implemented within the FP6 FP7 in
order to create conditions for implementation of
results of these projects or initiation of
co-operation on the commercial basis - Informational support concerning formal and
financial issues resulting from the
participation in the EU project.

Maritime Contact Points Letter of Intent - Cooperation barriers destroyed communication
problems, culture differences, old fashioned
attitude towards more flexible one - Creation a knowledge related how to behave in ERA
