• Endocytosis- large particles move into the cell.
• Receptor mediated endocytosis- moves specific
  molecules into the cell. (receptor molecules)
• Phagocytosis- moves large particles into the
  cell. (cell eating)
• Pinocytosis- moves fluid into the cell. (cell
  drinking)
• Exocytosis- moves materials out of the cell.

permeability is selective of what comes in and

• Types of passive transport
• Facilitated diffusion-moves high to low with
  protein.
• Diffusion- moves high to low with no protein.
• Hypotonic- water moves inside the cell, and cell
  will swell.
• Isotonic- no movement and cell stays the same.
• Hypertonic- water moves out of the cell, and the
  cell will shrivel and shrink.
