• Gives a lesson a beginning middle and end
• Helps avoid repetition
• Gives you some confidence

What does a plan look like?

• There is no set formulae that works in every
  situation
• Experienced teachers may not have a written plan
• There are some common elements

Lesson Structure

• All parts of a lesson are important
• Beginning ( a good start is critical)
• Middle (this is usually where the instruction
  is)
• End ( a lesson should end not just finish)
• Structure will vary depending on the methodology
  used
