Sources of a river
  • Rivers start of when water comes through the
ground until it finds rock and then follows the
    rock thus creating a bog
  • Or when it snows heavily on the top of a mountain
continues down and carves a river

The Water Cycle
  • The Water cycle is never ending, when any type
of water rises condenses into a cloud then falls
as rain and just goes on and on

5
Transportation
  • The river flows very fast, sometimes even taking
and depositing rocks, mud and small pebbles also
at the same time wearing away very slowly

Meanders
  • A meander is when a river wears away
the river bank and makes a very wide curve on
    the bank forming a meander

What are coasts
  • A coast is when land meets sea. Some are very
attractive like beaches, where as some are just
cliffs, so the coasts just vary.

Coasts
9
How are coasts formed
  • Coasts are formed by erosion wearing away
creating sand dunes, beaches and cliffs. Here is
a good example of erosion (this is now an
    undercut)

Coasts
10
How do coasts change
  • Coasts change also causing an undercut. An
undercut is when the surging force of the water
hitting the side of a cliff and eroding it.

Coasts
11
How coasts erode
  • An undercut is formed by erosion and the erosion
just carries on so the whole cliff itself could
get eroded and the coast gets pushed back
