3WHAT IS A BLITZ????
4A coordinated STATE WIDE effort An all out

membership teams efforts by canvassing an ENTIRE

we need to call for a BLITZ!
5There are 5 phases to conducting a recruitment
Blitz program

- Obtain Pastors permission to conduct a Blitz.
- Order recruitment materials
- Line up members to assist.

professional salesmen and your greatest assets.)
7Phase 2 The Execution Phase
- Set up information tables at every door (see
Blitz materials order form for suggested items)
- Include plenty of prospect cards and pencils
- With pastors permission have some one make
membership announcement from pulpit
- Have knights on hand to answer questions any
questions and collect prospect referal cards as
men leave with their families
8Phase 3 The Follow-Up Phase

with each prospect
- Invite them to your informational seminar, be
sure to mention date, time and location
- Offer transportation if that is a limitation
- BE SURE TO INVITE PROSPECTS FAMILY so they can
see the benefits that they receive as a family
member of the Knights of Columbus
9Phase 4 The Orientation Phase
- Be organized no one wants to join the Order if
the session seems unplanned or disorganized
- Have plenty of recruitment brochures on hand
- Request Council Chaplain to open with prayer and
some words about the Order and its mission

offer each prospect a form 100 to fill out before
events conclusion (have council members on hand
to assist filling out forms and answering
questions)
