Presidents Council Recruiting Boiler
Breaks Staff members get in contact with a medium
size company with Purdue alumni and/or ties with
the University. We bring coffee, bagels,
doughnuts and invite all alumni and friends of
Purdue who work for that company. We show the
newsreel, bring give-a-ways, and talk about
Purdue. It is a very relaxing, informal way for
us to get access to potential prospects, as
well as let the companies know they are important
to Purdue. We collect information and follow up
with Presidents Council prospects and set up
appointments. We then make the ask for
Presidents Council membership.

Presidents Council Recruiting Young Alumni
Events In talking with young alumni it was very
apparent that Presidents Council lacked events
targeted toward younger alumni. We created the
Presidents Council GOLD (Graduates of the Last
Decade) membership and developed events catered
to them. Young Alumni prefer in-formal, relaxing
events. We have planned the following
events -Night Out in Orlando-Capital One
Bowl -Chicago-evening before the Purdue Day in
Chicago -Penn State Viewing Party in
Indianapolis -Notre Dame Tailgate -Northwestern
Tailgate -Purdue Day at the Indianapolis
Zoo -Lafayette Social Hour

Presidents Council Recruiting Tailgating
Tent The tent was designed to be a gathering
place for Presidents Council members, as well as
a venue we are using to invite prospects. The
idea is to have an in-formal, come-as-you-please,
affordable tailgate. Presidents Council staff
host the tent and invite prospects who we have
visits with to help them see what Presidents
Council has to offer. The tent is located
southwest of the stadium in the lawn of the new
Stadium Dining Court. We have been averaging
around 150 people. Both current PC members and
prospects like the tent and we anticipate
attendance increasing throughout the season.
