-The DADA movement wanted to attack society
through scandal. -Dada was anti-establishment,
anti-military and had a disdain for
tradition. -Dadaists believed that a society
that creates the monstrosity of war does not
deserve art. They decided to give it
anti-art not beauty but ugliness.

The Dadaists wanted to offend the elite societies
of Europe. Dada failed however, because the
elite embraced this "rebellious" new art so
thoroughly that anti-art became the popular
Fine Art. Dada had quickly become the norm
and thus, the Dadaists rejected it.

Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy Freud
believed in the study of dreams in order to learn
more about the unconscious mind.
