  • HQMC advocates for plans, programs,
    policies, and operational concepts in the fields
    of law enforcement, military working dogs,
    criminal investigations, corrections, and combat
    service support to both supporting establishment
    and the operating forces.
  • Ensures maximum expeditionary MP assets to
    support the MAGTF Commander IOT ensure
    fulfillment of Long War and OIF mission
    requirements.

    of criminal investigations and polygraph.
  • Occupational Field (OccFld) specialist and
    coordinates with Deputy Commandant (DC) MRA
    concerning assignment of criminal investigators,
    polygraph examiners, and criminal investigations
    officers.  
  • Coordinates/monitors assignment of CID agents to
    NCIS.

  • Occ Field Sponsor for MOSs 5804 20
    Officers, and 5831 550 enlisted.
  • EPW Operations
  • Program manager for 6 correctional facilities, 12
    detention spaces, and 3 correctional custody
    units (closed).
  • Approximately 600-800 prisoners

  • BRAC realignment of DoD Confinement Facilities
  • Utilize saved corrections structure realized
    through BRAC realignment, and redistribute to
    establish permanent corrections specialist
    structure within the Operational Forces
  • Corrections Specialist support to Operational
    Forces
  • Coordinate with TECOM to provide current training
    for MOS and pre-deployment of provisional
    detention guards
  • Manage deserter/absentee collection program
  • Approximately 1200-1400 deserters
