Student Schedule

LUNCH
  • Lunch Money should be deposited at the beginning
    of each day, in the main office, in an envelope
    with first and last name indicated.
  • Students are informed when account funds are
    nearly depleted.
  • Students also have the option of bringing a lunch
    from home.
  • Lunch Recess 1215-1255. Students have recess
    1st, lunch follows.

5 Day Specialist Schedule
  • Day 1 Thinking Skills
  • Day 2 Music P.E. (1/2 hour each)
  • Day 3 Art
  • Day 4 Music P.E. (1/2 hour each)
  • Day 5 Spanish
  • Media students can check out books independently
    or on the scheduled class visit. (Day 5)

BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS
  • Use common sense and courtesy.
  • Show respect for yourself, others, and the
    environment.
  • Be prepared for class bring your text, notebook,
    pencil, special materials such as a calculator,
    assignments, and be on time!
  • Actively participate in your own learning.
  • Follow directions the first time given.

CONSEQUENCES
  • Logical and Natural Consequence System within the
    classroom that includes a time-out procedure.
  • School wide behavioral expectations and
    discipline procedures are Be Kind, Be Safe, and
    Work Hard.

REWARDS
  • Verbal praise
  • Notes/parent calls from teacher
  • Acknowledging a students performance in a
    group/class setting.
  • Classroom rewards-video/popcorn party.

GRADING
  • Point values will be assigned and recorded for
    assignments, tests, and organizational skills
  • Report Cards 2 Grading Periods. 1 report card
    issued in Jan. and 1 toward the end of the year.
  • Assessment is based upon a rubric scale of
    Exemplary, Proficient, In-Progress, and Needs
    Assistance.

PARENT SUPPORT
  • Keep consistent communication between home and
    school. Please call, email, or stop-in.
  • Confirm your childs homework expectations each
    day. Check for completion, and sign their
    assignment notebooks.
  • Help your child get permission forms back to
    school in a timely manner.

ATTENDANCE
  • Its important that the kids are here and ON
    TIME!
  • Excused absences are illness and physician
    appointments
  • Vacation Notifications should be completed in
    advance (available in office)
  • Students and Parents need to be aware that the
    middle schools h.s. have make-up policies and
    Saturday school in effect.

CONFERENCES
  • 1 fall conference and 1 spring conference.
  • Goal setting, performance evidence, and student
    needs will be discussed.
  • Conferences will be student-led, with active
    participation from the student.
