7Shortcomings
- Lack of students with home computers
- Lack of adult help
- Lack of student knowledge of their families
8Student Data
The students either had a participation score for
their activities or a non participation for their
activities. Those who did not participate in the
activities had no parental help or they were
absent.
9Revisions
- Web page was modified several times to address
my audience - Activities changed to keep it simple
- My mirror image wasnt mirroring my work so
thanks to the help of my teachers I got things
corrected and deleted.
10Summary
This project helped me see how using technology
could enhance the learning of very young
children. There are many different types of
technology, and finding the right one for very
young students is not always easy.. You need to
know your student and your audience.
11Taking a standard and creating a lesson around it
is a skill that more people need to attempt. I
hope to be able to use the lessons that others
have created in this project. I have learned a
lot from this project. I hope to use some of the
skills I have learned to educate others.
12Activities 1
Sounds of Home After hearing a story about home
and sounds the students folded a paper into
fourths. In each square they drew a picture of
something they heard at that particular time of
day.
13Activities 2
Family chart After the students had their family
pedigree chart filled out they placed the family
member on the family tree.
