VISION

• To achieve stable region with developed mutual
  understanding, without prejudices among young
  people through their mobility, co/operation, and
  active role in society.

History

• SEEYN was born in December 2000
• It is initiated by the Danish NGO Mellemfolkeligt
  Samvirke
• It is implemented under the framework of the
  Danish program FRESTA Peace and Stability
  Through Cross/Boundary Civil Society
  Collaboration

Members

• 19 members organizations from Albania, Bosnia
  and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo,
  Macedonia, Federation of Serbia and Montenegro
• 16 full members and 3 associated members

Overall objectives

• To empower young people to engage themselves as
  active citizens, capable of addressing present
  and future conflicts as well as social,
  political, cultural, and economical challenges
  relevant to youth at large.
• To strengthen the voice of the youth in the
  democratic structures and processes of the
  region.
• To promote culture of openness, mutual
  understanding, mobility and active participation
  amongst youth, base on volunteerism and
  intercultural cooperation, free from prejudices
  and stereotyping.
• To create increased awareness and a deeper
  understanding of southeastern Europe amongst
  young people within the region and in Denmark
  with long-term contacts and solidarity between
  youths in southeastern Europe as well as with
  young people in Denmark and other European
  countries.

• Activities address existing and emerging problems
  in the region engaging young people not already
  actively involved in civil society work, as
  active citizens
• Strengthening the voice of youth in decision
  making process to strengthen democratic processes
  in the emerging democracies of the SEE region.

  youth from the region
• To develop small scale projects shared between
  Danish partners and the SEEYN
• Small information campaign about the SEEYN
  workcamps aimed at young people in Denmark
