Introduction
  • The SpeedRes system
  • is designed for small, medium and large wholesale
    tour operators who wish to have a fully
    integrated reservations, accounting, operations
    and marketing system
  • includes a wide variety of reports tailored to
    the travel industry
  • permits foreign currency costing and/or selling,
    including VAT/GST, on both sales and commissions
  • allows users to package, sell and track all types
    of products--air, hotel, land, cruises, etc. and
  • is fully customizable.

Main Menu
  • The SpeedRes main menu shows all of the modules

  • Different markets accommodate a range of pricing
    structures.
  • Rate screens allow multiple seasons and room
    types.
  • Products have beginning/ending sell dates and
    validity dates.
  • VAT/GST fields permit products to be priced
    internationally.
  • Users are able to place a STOP SELL on specific
    products.

Reservations
  • The Reservations subsystem enables agents to
  • query product information
  • create quotes and easily convert them to
    bookings
  • assign cabin or seats from system maps
  • convert currency--allowing quoting and booking in
    other currencies
  • view inventory availability and
  • find bookings by number, departure dates, phone
    numbers, agency/passenger names and codes.

Passenger Name Screen
  • The Passenger Name Screen allows limited or
    detailed entry of traveler information.
  • Passport information is captured on a special
    security report.
  • Multiple-passenger bookings allow room
    assignments for manifesting purposes.

Operations
  • The full Operations subsystem includes
  • booking reports (by departure date, booking date
    or product code)
  • payment reports (bookings with deposit or final
    payments due)
  • quality control reports (reservations audit, no
    documents) and
  • inventory management tools.

    generated--individually or from a queue--for both
    clients and vendors

  • The Accounting subsystem is accrual-based, fully

  • reporting (Aged Analysis, Monthly Sales, Monthly
    G/L Distribution)
  • statements (Accounts Activity Analysis, PL,
    Working Balance)
  • check printing
  • electronic payment tracking
  • multiple currency selling and costing
    capabilities
  • 12 or 13-period accounting (period close, budget
    allocations)
  • auto-payable programs
  • bank reconciliation and outstanding checks
    register and
  • the ability to accommodate multiple companies and
    branches.

Groups
  • The Groups subsystem allows
  • easy quoting for a range of group sizes
  • efficient revision and recalculation of existing
    quotes
  • building itineraries/options using existing or
    special contract rates
  • costing and mark-ups customized for each group
  • automatic reminder date function (names,
    deposits, etc.)
  • viewing profit margins before creating a quote
  • tracking group activity by agency or user and
  • creation of either one group booking or
    individual bookings linked to a single group.

Security and Manager Functions
  • The security and manager functions include
  • the ability to limit access to specific menu
    paths
  • password maintenance
  • booking and transaction clear programs
  • masking of credit card numbers to help prevent
    fraud and
  • booking and transaction cutoff dates to protect
    past financials.

  • Optional SpeedRes GDS enhancements include

  • All SpeedRes GDS interfaces are compatible with

  • Although any SpeedRes document can be customized
    for faxing, options are currently available for
    the following documents

  • itineraries (regular and customized)
  • quotes
  • hotel manifest
  • the daily land vendor report and
  • fax broadcast of flyers.

  • E-mail (text, HTML, PDF) is currently available
    for the following documents

    E-mailing.

  • The SpeedRes Web interface is a browser-based
    booking engine that enables agencies and direct
    clients to book SpeedRes products on-line.
  • The SpeedRes Web pages will match the look and
    feel of the travel companys existing Web site.
