ObjectivesSOL 2.16 The student will tell and
write time to the quarter hour, using analog and
digital clocks.
  • Review the first grade SOL of telling time to the
    hour and half hour using analog and digital
    clocks.
  • Review hour and minute hands.
  • Discuss time related vocabulary and concepts.
  • Review how many minutes are in an hour.
  • Discuss that there are 30 minutes in a half hour.
  • Discuss that each quarter of an hour has 15
    minutes.
  • Practice counting by fives.
