1
8th MARCH - THE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
  • Anna Moroziuk

2
THE MOST ROMANTIC HOLIDAY
  • 8th March is one of the most romantic holidays,
after all it is a fine occasion to men to show as
they love their lovely ladies (wives, mothers,
    sisters, daughters).
  • This spring day associates with love, tenderness
    and heat.

3
POLICY - AGAIN HERE!
  • The reason of occurrence of such a holiday in a
    modern kind is especially political.
  • About any heat and caress it was not primary even
    speeches!

4
ANCIENT ROME
  • Already in ancient Rome there was a women's day
which was marked by matrons. This day matrons -
freely born women who are married, received gifts
from the husbands, have been surrounded by love
and attention. Slaves received gifts too.
Besides, the mistress of the house, allowed
slaves to have a rest this day.

5
STRUGGLE OF WOMEN FOR EQUALITY
  • A lot of time has passed. Women have decided to
change the life, to struggle for equality with
    men.
  • In 1910 at the International conference of women
socialists in Copenhagen Clara Tsetkin suggested
to celebrate the 8th of March as the day of
struggle for equality of women with men.

6
FOR THE FIRST AND FOR THE LAST TIME!
  • In 1914 - for the first and for the last time! -
the women's day was marked on March, 8th
    simultaneously in six countries Austria,
Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia and
    Switzerland.

7
TODAY
  • Today, 8th March have not something in common any
    more with a policy.
  • More likely, it is an excellent day to remind all
representatives of a fine half of mankind that
love them very much and appreciate!

8
NOW
  • Now to imagine the beginning of spring without
this holiday is simply impossible. Women look
younger and blossom, and even the most severe and
emotionally reserved men turn to romanticists.
Congratulations, verses, declarations of love are
    sound.
