Weekly Concept Adaptations Essential Question
What helps an animal survive? This week our
class will be talking about how animals in the
wild survive. We will learn about animal
adaptations that help different kinds of animals

This week our class will discuss the useful
things we can learn from nature. We will focus on
how living things, including human beings, depend

5th Grade Math
Fourth grade is learning about dividing with
remainders right now. This is a hard concept to
grasp so I encourage you to spend some extra time
at home teaching and reinforcing the skill of how
to divide, step by step. Some examples 57 4

Fifth grade is working hard on adding decimals.
The biggest thing we are remembering to do is
line up our decimal points before adding or
subtracting. So far we have been adding but later
this week we will begin subtracting decimals as
well.
Words Their Way
Upcoming Dates
We will not do our Words Their Way work this
week. With the short week and Food ense on
Tuesday we will be spending our time learning
about Martin Luther King instead. Words Their Way
words will resume next week.
