3Childrens Care Cards
Inspiration NWs Childrens Care Cards have been
developed following popular demand from
colleagues in the North West. They build on
learning from the Adult Care Cards which have
been tested in more than 25 services across the
North West. The purpose of the care cards is to
support meaningful conversations with children
about what matters most to them when they
experience health care. The care cards enable
staff to offer tailored responses to clearly
signaled wishes and direction.

- Created by childrens illustrator Pete Bowman and
feature Tiny Ted and the Inspiration NW
Dragon. - The illustrations are based on research and
practical understanding and aim to support
children to express what matters most to them
when they experience health services. - The reverse of the care cards show the
Inspiration NW Dragons scales in different
colours to support recording of information in
care records.
