Educational Technology Standards for Teachers

• Standard ITECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS AND CONCEPTS-
  Teachers will demonstrate introductory
  knowledge, skills and an understanding of
  concepts.
• Standard IIPLANNING AND DESIGNING LEARNING
  ENVIRONMENTS AND EXPERIENCES- Teachers will
  design appropriate learning activities that apply
  to technology.
• Standard III TEACHING, LEARNING, AND THE
  CURRICULUM- Teachers should incorporate
  technology to help enhance students learning and
  also their creativity.
• Standard IVASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION- Teachers
  should create multiple methods of incorporating
  technology into a lesson and test what the
  students have achieved throughout the
  activities/lessons.
• Standard VPRODUCTIVITY AND PROFESSIONAL
  PRACTICE- Technology should be used to assist on
  ongoing professional development and learning.
• Standard VI SOCIAL, ETHICAL, LEGAL, AND HUMAN
  ISSUES- Teacher should promote a safe learning
  environment for teaching technology, model and
  teach legal and ethical practice of technology.

• Standard I Basic Operations and
  Concepts-students are successful in using
  technology-Students should be able to display a
  sound understanding of the usage of technology.
• Standard II Social, ethical, and human
  issues-Students should understand the cultural
  and ethical background of technology.
• Standard III Technology productivity
  tools-Students should be able to use tools to
  create models and presentations.
• Standard IV Technology communication
  tools-Students should be able to communicate with
  peers and professionals on how to interact and
  publish using technology.
• Standard V Technology research tools-Students
  should be able to use technology to locate,
  collect, and evaluate research.
• Standard VI Technology problem-solving and
