Manifest Destiny
  • People in the United States during the mid-1800s
    believed that they had the right to expand just
    as you did in this classroom. This was called
    Manifest Destiny American belief that is was
    their right to expand from sea to shining sea.

    economic opportunity, spread democracy and
    religion
