• Gate Road Development involves the construction
  of roadways, to a set standard, from point A to B
• This construction project can take up to 9 months
• There are different levels of project planning,
  from monthly through to shift planning
• There are various planning tools used within the
  industry for gateroad panels. Eg. MS Project
• The effectiveness of these tools relies on the
  ability of the department to maintain up to date
  plans
• This is easier at a monthly level and becomes
  increasingly more difficulty at the weekly and
  daily plan levels

• ULTIMINE utilises the mines Development Panel
  operating guidelines and process map as a
  framework for the construction of gateroad panels
• ULTIMINE interfaces to the mines document control
  system and provides an auto print functionality
  for procedures and JSA etc
• Ultimine interfaces with the mines work order
  system and delay recording systems
• Collectively this functionality unites the mines
  current systems into one easy to use planning tool

• If you dont have a clear understanding of your
  Development process than ULTIMINE is not the
  answer
• If you dont have discipline in maintaining the
  process, on all shifts, than ULTIMINE wont fix it
• If the management at the highest level are not
  committed to supporting the Development process
  with the required resources ULTIMINE wont
  overcome it
• If management dont insist that all shifts use
  the tool to create accurate shift plans,
  including valid productivity targets, then the
  effective use of ULTIMINE will be compromised
