12Lunch/Snack/Water
- Recess/lunch - 1155 a.m. 1235 p.m.
- We will not be having snack time in second grade
classrooms, so please be sure your child has a
substantial, well-balanced breakfast. - Only sport top water bottles are permitted. They
should be taken home each night to be properly
cleaned and refilled. - Please label your childs water bottle.
13Boomerang Folder(When you bring it home, it
always comes back! ? )
- This folder should come home EVERY day and be
brought back to school EVERY day. Please check it
each night. - Two labeled pockets inside
- Keep at Home pocket - Your child will bring home
completed work or other papers that do not need
to be returned to school. - Return to School pocket - Any notes you send
should be placed on this side. Likewise, if
there are papers that require your signature and
need to be returned, your child will place them
in this pocket. - Remember, if your child has any transportation
changes, we will need a note. Also, if your child
is going to a friends house, we need a note from
both parties.
14Assignment Notebook
- Homework and reminders will be recorded each day
and will also be available on Konnect. - It is part of your childs homework to have you
initial the parent signature section each day. - Notes regarding behavior will be written here.
- This is also a great place to jot me a note if
you have a question about the homework, etc.
15Reading Minutes
- In lieu of a separate reading calendar, we will
use the assignment notebook for this purpose. - For the 20 minutes of required reading each
night, please indicate on the reading section of
each days assignment book entry the title of the
book your child read, number of minutes, and
initial next to it. - Please have your child do a combination of silent
reading and reading aloud to you.

academic area. - School calendar has A-E days noted.
- Library is A Day
- Please return books on the day before library
day.

longer allowed in support of our district

- On the first day of school (if you have not done
so already), please have your child bring an
unframed family photo (4X6 or smaller). - Place in yellow basket on back table.
- We will display them around our classroom.
- It will be nice to have our families close by
each day.?
