Roman mythology started at the beginning of time.
Some of the most famous gods are Saturn(Zeus)
lord of the
sky, Mars(Ares)lord of war, Cupid(Eros)lord of
love.
10 Saturn(Zeus) was the ruler of all the gods in
the sky.
Saturn was also known as the god of agriculture.
Saturn had many children which were
all gods/goddesses.
11Cupid Was the god of love in all its varieties.
Cupid was the son of Mercury, the winged
Messenger of the gods.
12Roman Discordia is personified as
Strife, daughter of Nyx and sister of Mars.
The Roman gods of war were praised rather than
feared in Greek mythology.
13Fate in Roman mythology was one of three
goddesses who determined human destinies, and
life span, ect.
Fate or Miora in Greek mythology had the power to
make the choice on how long that you would live,
and whether or not you would suffer or not.
14JULIUS CAESAR
Julius Caesar was born in Rome of aristocratic
family. He was married to Cornelia at the age of
17.They have a daughter together whose name was
Julia .
15In 49 Caesar drove his opponents out of Italy
to the eastern side of the straits of Otranto. He
became a military leader and helped make Rome
the center of an empire that stretched through
Europe . He also won fame as an orator ,
politician and write .
16Caesar ës death was partly due to his clemency
and impatience, which in combination , were
dangerous for his personal security. Caesar had
not hesitated to commit atrocities against
barbarians when it had suited him , but he was
almost consistently magnanimous in his treatment
of his defeated Roman opponents.
17Caesar was the name of one branch of the Julius
family. It ës original meaning was hairy. The
Caesar family was not prominent. Caesar was well
connected through his relative and received some
importance government assignments during his
youth.
18Caesar held a series of lesser political
offices before becoming a Roman consul in 59 B.C.
19Caesar gens, the Julia, were patrician I e ,
members of Rome's original aristocracy, which
had coalesced in the 4th century BC with a
number of leading plebeian families to form
the Caesar ës time.
20His daughter Julia was name after him she was
married to Pompey who became Caesar enemy.
Caesar defeated the two sons of Pompey ,this was
his last battle.
21Caesar served his quaestorship in the province of
farther Spain. He was elected one of the curule
aediles for 65, and he celebrated his tenure of
this offices by unusually lavish expenditure with
borrowed money . Caesar motion was defeated in
the senate.
