Staffing / Instructors

• Dual credentialed instructors are difficult to
  find
• Attracting industry personnel due to wage
  differential is an issue
• All trade instructors delivering dual credit
  programs are currently Red Seal Interprovincial
  Certified
• College instructors have or are recommended to
  obtain the BC Provincial Instructor Diploma
• District based instructors are currently Red Seal
  and certified teachers

• Matching school semester with college terms /
  college aligned to district semesters
• Determining seats for districts involved / dealt
  with on situational basis
• Student selection / criteria and pre-requisites
  jointly established (district completes student
  selection)
• Open communication through regular and frequent
  contact involving support and instructional
  staff, counsellors, recruiters, and administrators
