Modifications of phosphor (1)

• White or yellow phosphor Its consists of P4
  molecules.Its soft can be cut with a knife .Its
  melts at 44,1 0C and catches fire near 60 0C. It
  isnt water-soluble but ether-, benzene-,fat-,
  oil-soluble. Very strong acid, 0,1 g of it is
  lethal.

• Red or violet phosphorMelting point 589,5 0C,
  It doesnt oxidize in air.Stable modification
  ,when it is affected by light the yellow
  phosphor turns into to red phosphor. It isnt
  resolve in CS2.
• Black or metalic phosphor Stratum grating,It
  look like metal,very good.

The accident (1)

• During the preliminary operation at a pause some
  phosphor remained in a tract of the tube system
  .Some yelllow phosphor burnt one of the workers
  skin while opening up the tube.
• He was taken to hospital in Szolnok immediatly,
  but his was injury couldnt be treated. The
  phosphor wasnt cleared away and the poisoning
  became stronger .

The accident(2)

• He was taken to a clinic in Budapest,where there
  was a doctor who could treat phosphor poisoning.
• Unfortunately it was too late and the worker died
  in phosphor-poisoning.

The reason of the accident (1)

• The workers were inattentive and they didnt
  know weel the new technology.
• The hospital wasnt prepared to treat wounded
  person.
• It was too late when the wounded was taken to the
  other clinic.

Conclusions can be drawn from the accident (1)

• The features and dangers of the materials must be
  known
• The rules of the technology must be kept
  everytime.
• The workers must wear safety equipment.
• Hospitals should be prepared for the treatment of
  wounded people.
