- Vertical Alignment
- Articulated the TEKS
- Reviewed how the TEKS were being assessed on TAKS
- Discuss vocabulary
- Summer, 2005
- Big Bundles for 1st Semester (Big Bundles 1-6)
- 3 weeks at a glance
- Discrete Bundles for 1st Semester (Discrete
Bundles 1-18) - 1 week at a glance or units at a glance
4Reflections
- Comments
- Big Bundles are needed by all subject areas and
grade levels - Big Bundles give a bigger picture (the
integration of the multiple TEKS) allowing
district teachers (not involved in the process)
to fully understand the focus of the bundling - Discrete Bundles need to be completed at a
district level to incorporate all teachers input
and participation in the process - A document is desired to easily determine where a
specific TEKS is targeted
5So What Does This Mean?
- 2nd Semester Big Bundles will need to be
- Well articulated - to the same degree of the
Discrete Bundles (forms amended for more
specification) - Reflective of ALL articulation in the Vertical
Alignment - Each teacher is expected to complete these
bundles to the this degree by noon of Nov 22nd - We are not going to create Discrete Bundles for
2nd Semester as a consortium - This work will be completed by each district
according to districts needs

- Teamwork doesn't tolerate the inconvenience of
distance. - Teamwork is working together even when apart.
- The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
- Teamwork means coming together, sharing together,
working together, succeeding together - Thanks for all the hard work!
