Establishing and freezing the baseline

With 939 tasks, the 24 Aug 2005 JCA Taxonomy
Brief with 21 Tier I JCA s and 230 Tier II JCA
s.

Completed Development of Operational and
Strategic Templates as required for Mission
Analysis
Camber 4 member mapping team developed 147
Strategic/Operational Template tasks sets, to
include definitions for each template.

Populated Templates
Each template has a number of tasks associated to
it. Some templates have as little as 7 tasks,
some have as many as 108 associated tasks.

Mission Analysis (commencing end of April 06)
Tier II JCAs when developed must be defined. We
utilize these definitions as Mission Statements
and perform basic mission analysis identifying
Specified and Implied tasks to successfully
accomplish that JCA.

Detailed Mapping (one to many) UJTL tasks to
Tier II JCAs(and loaded into JDEIS Tool)

• Tier II Joint Capability Area
• Humanitarian Assistance 30 SN, 24 ST, 41 OP
  Level, total 95 tasks

Once Specified and Implied tasks are identified,
supporting tasks sets are selected, mapping those
tasks to that Tier II JCA

Process Data Summary
With the creation of template tasks sets we have
reduced the number of times we must touch a
task, and mapping, corrections, deletions, or
changes of any kind, establishing automation
created a living process capable of maintaining
version updates faster and more accurately.

Phase I

• Phase I One dimensional relationship between
  JCA and UJTL tasks (One Task to One Tier II JCA)
  100 top Tier II JCAs)

Utilizing the top level 100 Tier II JCA s, we
mapped each task only once to the best Tier II
JCA. This established the foundation and QA check
for the finial mapping effort
