What do I have to do?

• Practical tasks are as follows

What will I learn?

• We will look at pieces of music covering four
  areas of study
• Area of Study 1 Western Classical Music
  1600-1899
• Area of Study 2 Music in the 20th Century
• Area of Study 3 Popular Music in Context
• Area of Study 4 World Music
• We learn to use new music software Sibelius
• We will learn new musical structures
• We will listen and learn about many types of
  music and how it has impacted on the music you
  listen to today

• Notes of the stave
• Bass Clef and Treble Clef
• Major / Minor sounds
• Elements of music
• Where to find the notes on the keyboard
• Some Classical composers and their music
• Computer software Cubasis
• We have listened to many types of music at Key
  Stage 3 World Music, Classical Music and Popular
  Music
• You have composed many pieces of music
• You have performed many types of music
• You have described your work using music words
