more - This equals the time spent studying for a number
of GCSEs/Standard Grades - During your training you will qualify for various
Proficiencies and Advancement - This is not understood by the outside world
interms of its value or your achievement.

recognised outside the Cadet organisation

- Unit 1 Uniformed Public Services Employment
- Unit 2 - Public Service Skills
- Unit 3 Uniformed Public Service Fitness
- You must also complete 3 of the following 4 Units
- Unit 6 Adventurous activities Teamwork for
the Public Services - Unit 8 - Land Navigation by Map Compass
- Unit 13 - Expedition Skills
- Unit 14 - Fundamentals of Nautical Studies

- You must complete the following 3 parts
- Part 1 Planning and creating a music event
- Includes 8 assignments
- Part 2 Rehursing and performing
- 7 assignments
- Part3 Research and presentation
- 6 assignments

- No changes to the SCC Syllabus
- Very little extra work is involved (a matter of
815 hours on the Unit 1 project and cadet
workbook) This unit has been seen to be most
useful for career development - Continuous assessment scheme with no examinations
- Retrospective accreditation for for training
already completed.

- The Integrated Vocational Assignment (IVA) is a
series of small tasks which cadets complete
(once) by February each year. - It is set by EDEXCEL and marked by CVQO.
- It is then remarked by Edexcel
- Contingents will have to organise time to brief
and start the cadets on the project. - A Resource Book is produced by CVQO as reference.
