• Life Science Austria (LISA) - a key program for
  life sciences run by Austria Wirtschaftsservice
  on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry for
  Economy and Labor
• Austria Wirtschaftsservice is a specialist
  business promotion bank with a strong expertise
  in financing high tech companies

• Participation in Best of Biotech helps to improve
  cross-border collaboration between Austria and
  its neighbors
• Best of Biotech contributes to the development
  of a Central European life science region which
  will be strong enough to compete
  internationally!

  worked through concept
• A businessplan is your business card for
  potential investors (venture capital, banks)!

• In the first two rounds of Best of Biotech there

• EUR 77,000 awarded in prizes

Phase I Business Idea (Oct 14 Dec 17)

• Innovative!
• Not more than five A4 pages
• Describes the problem
• Unique selling proposition
• Current state of the art
• Possible customers
• Target market and market size
• Competitors and IPR
• Business team and qualification
• On Jan 27 the five most innovative business
  ideas are awarded a cash prize of EUR 1,400!

13April 15, 05)

• After that participants develop their business
  idea into a fully fledged business plan
• LISAs experts are on hand to provide active
  support via workshops in Vienna, Innsbruck and
  Graz

• all data received by local participants will be
  treated absolutely confidentially
• neither LISA nor the international jury will
  make a difference between Austrian and non
  Austrian participants
• non Austrian winners have no obligation to do
  business in Austria and can use the prize money
