Primary purpose
  • The purpose of this position is to provide
    instructional leadership to support staff members
    and students in the integration of technology and
    curriculum at the school level for implementing
    the One-to-One Initiative.

Essential Job Duties
  • Increases the effectiveness of classroom
    instruction in the one-to-one mobile computer
    environment
  • implementing coaching strategies that include
    modeling and co-teaching lessons,
  • planning with teachers,
  • facilitating reflective practices.
  • Supports classroom teachers in a one-to-one
    mobile computer environment
  • peer coaches,
  • assists in planning technology-enhanced lessons
    and projects,
  • provides model teaching (student instruction with
    classroom teacher present),
  • co-teaches lessons as needed.

Essential Job Duties
  • Builds teacher understanding and use of highly
    effective, research-based instructional practices
    that integrate student use of mobile computers in
    a meaningful way.
  • Collaborates with building teachers and provides
    support for student orientation instruction on
    topics related to building technology procedures
    and practices.
  • Provides support for parent orientation
    instruction on topics related to appropriate home
    use of the laptop
  • school work,

  • school-to-home communication,
  • remote login, etc.

Essential Job Duties
  • Provides staff development on topics related to
    best practices in technology integration and
    managing technology resources, including student
    mobile computers.
  • Serves as site-based coordinator for managing the
    logistics of one-to-one mobile computer
    distribution, management, and maintenance.
  • Prepares training documentation used with staff
    to assist with one-to-one technology use.

  • Keeps current in district software applications
    instructional technology processes.
  • Keeps abreast of new knowledge, innovative
    courses, methods of study, new instructional
    techniques, and general research in area of
    assignment.

  • In coaching, or coach to teacher role, the
    coach is a facilitator who guides teachers as
    they reflect on and self-analyze their practice.
  • Help teachers gain increased consciousness about
    their practice and decision-making processes.
  • Encourages them to explore how variations in
    their teaching practice influence how students
    learn.
  • Helps teachers analyze and refine current
    practices
