Registering for Electives
  • Portal opens Feb. 7 and closes Feb. 17 to
    register for electives.
  • Make sure parents have a portal password.
  • The school will put in your core classes. You
    just select your electives.
  • Be SURE you select several alternates.

Driver's Ed.
  • Must pick as an elective.
  • It is only a semester course, so you must select
    another semester course to go with it either
    World Geography or Team Sports.
  • 100.00 made out to NFHS is due to Sandra Sutton
    by Feb. 17th.

Waivers
  • If you would like to change a core class, get a
    waiver from the HS website, fill it out, have
    your parent sign it, and return it to the high
    school by March 6th.
  • It MAY get changed.
  • You may be able to bribe the counselors with
    chocolate!

Know your HS counselor
  • The high school counselors are assigned students
    alphabetically.
  • You should have discovered yours at the
    information night at the HS.
  • The letters change every year, so find out whom
    you have for next year.
  • It will be listed in the registration packet
    coming out the 5th.

  • 18 high schoolers will speak with you on Wed. the
    28th.
  • Nine areas speaking for 8 minutes each during the
    first three periods.
  • Longer in the last session.
  • Ask intelligent, helpful questions.
  • This is your only chance to hear the info. from
    other students.

  • You will have to provide Proof of Residency this
    spring!!!
  • Parents must provide TWO proofs.
  • One must be a mortgage stmt., lease agreement, or
    property tax bill AND
  • One must be a utility bill with the name and home
    address NOT a cell phone bill!
