  changing careers, can be an overwhelming process.
  This presentation is designed to introduce you
  to some basic career development concepts, as
  well as to give you a preview of what the process
  will be like. Please sit back and enjoy the

WHAT IS A CAREER?

• A career is a persons chosen profession or
  occupation. The general course or progression of
  your working life or your professional
  achievement. A career may include several jobs.

  basic steps
• Self -awareness and assessment
• Career awareness and exploration
• Career decision-making
• Career planning and placement

• Establish goals (career and educational)

  career. At this time you need to
• Develop good interviewing and job search skills

• Once in a job

• Try to look at least five years ahead
• Maintain flexibility
