• raise awareness about an issue teens deal with
  regarding emotional health
• topics might include
• handling stress
• anger management
• coping with emotions

Shock

• shock the audience into noticing the issue
• get their attention through use of statistics, a
  story, a commonly heard remark...
• be sure to be sensitive about the issue

• motivate the audience to act on that information
• suggest a way to be more sensitive
• provide a resource - person, hotline, website...

• Project assigned on 9/17/07
• Last day to complete project 9/24/07

To Prepare

• Talk with group - choose your topic
• Monday night - start coming up with ideas for
  PSA, start working on script
• Tuesday in class -work with group on PsA script
  and plan

Production

• Wednesday/Thursday - to computer lab to produce
  PSA in Garage Band
• Script must be complete before starting
• Next Monday, if needed, back to lab to finish up
  PSA and post online

Evaluation

• Students will listen to all PSAs from their own
  class and vote on their favorite
• Best PSA from each class period will be played on
  the daily announcements at school within the next
  couple weeks
• Students should listen to PSAs from other
  classes, too
