SCHEDULE CHANGES
  • It is very difficult to make satisfactory
adjustments at the last moment or after classes
    commence.
  • Your selections should be considered final.
  • Per county policy, requests for schedule
changes/corrections will be CONSIDERED for the
    following reasons only
  • Course prerequisites not met
  • Senior that have graduation requirements to be
    met
  • To correct an obvious error
  • Failing or non-qualifying grades in summer school
  • Authentic, documented health reasons
  • Circumstances requiring administrative approval

27
SCHEDULE CHANGES
  • Schedule changes are done through the GUIDANCE
    DEPARTMENT.
  • It is best if you consult a guidance counselor
    when considering your request for
  • a schedule change.
  • NO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS WILL BE ACCEPTED to file
    for schedule changes.
  • Schedule changes will be made only with proper
paperwork supporting the change (PGIN 7540-2144)
  • The only schedule change forms that are
acceptable are those filled out by Guidance
    Counselors and Department Chairs.
  • Per county policy, no schedule changes will be
made after the 20th day of school.
  • If you drop a course after the 20th day of school
a W grade will be recorded and will be
    reflected on your transcript.

28
BE CONSIDERATE
  • Schedule Changes affect the entire school .
Please carefully make your first choices, be sure
to make four alternate choices for electives, and
dont pursue schedule changes just to fill in
    your schedule.
  • (Contrary to local urban legend , there are no
courses that you or your advisors can designate
as DROP COURSES, especially in the ST program.
You will be required to keep all your first
    choices.)
  • The seat you take could be more useful to someone
who is serious and could be necessary for
    someones program and plans.

29
NEXT STEPS
  • Discuss choices with your parents, use the
    website
  • http//www.pgcps.org/erhs
  • Have your registration form and any necessary
additional forms filled out and attached.
  • Meet with your counselor to make and review
    course requests
  • No schedule changes after June
  • You will receive your schedule on the first day
    back

30
BE MINDFUL OF THE DUE DATE
The sooner you get your course selections
returned the more time we will have to make a
master schedule that fits everyones needs. Do
your best to remember the due date of February
