What is it? Who might be interested?
Overview Statement
The Science and Technology Program is a 4-year
high school course of study which provides
increased educational opportunity in the
scientific and Technological fields for selected
students from all geographic areas of Prince
Georges County. The program provides in-depth
experiences in all academic disciplines to assist
in the intellectual growth and development of
student who have

Application
Applications are open to 8th 9th grade
students who reside in Prince Georges County
  • Issued by Public School Counselor
  • Issued by Program Coordinator (Private School
    Student)
  • Completed and Returned by November 20th

Admissions to the Science Technology Program
Admission is determined by a combination of a
two part competitive test and Earned Grades .
  • Top Score of 300 points
  • Verbal Test total is 100 points
  • Mathematics Test total is 100 points
  • Earned Grades total is 100 points.
  • English, Math, Social Studies and Science
    Grades in all 4 quarters of 7th grade and the
    1st quarter of 8th grade. The GPA is scaled to
    100 points.
  • (4.0 X 25 100) (3.5 X 25 87.5) (3.0 X 25
    75) etc..
