  • 1ST WOW! ORGANIC FESTIVAL in support of the Earth
    Day Celebration

  • Health wellness, herbal, eco-friendly, go
    organic, going back to basics ---these are our
    concerns and advocacies toward a holistic
    lifestyle for every Filipino. We also believe
    that there's no other way to sustainability and
    healthier solutions but to go organic and that
    organic farming is the solution to global
    warming.
  • Happening this summer at the Herbal Garden and
    Livelihood Center of the Quezon Memorial Circle
    in Quezon City is the the 1st Wow! Organic
    Festival which aims to EDUCATE Filipinos on what
    is organic and to MAINSTREAM organic
    products/goods thru trade fairs, exhibits,
    cooking demos, film showings, trivia contests and
    entertainment. In addition, there will be talks
    on organic lifestyle, organic herbs, organic
    aquaculture and agriculture, role of bio-tech in
    organic farming, marketing of organic produce and
    a symposium on the organic certification process.
    The highlight of the symposium is the Organic
    Program Road Map to be discussed by the
    Department of Agriculture.
  • The festival is in support of the worldwide
    celebration of Earth Day. Earth Day events will
    highlight a science forum on the Global Warming
    Phenomenon, Philippine Water Crisis, Threat and
    Responses to Environmental Degradation by Dr.
    Roger Birasol of the Earth Savers Movement and a
    presentation of How to Ensure Political Will to
    Make Organic Agriculture A Primary Climate Change
    Adaptation National Strategy by Partido
    Kalikasan. In addition, Dr. Antonio Mateo, will
    explain an innovative Rainwater Harvesting System
    as our best option to the impending water crisis
    while Green Peace will give a workshop on
    Sustainable Living and Climate Change. Zero
    Waste Recycling and Composting Plans will be
    presented by Dr. Metodio Palaypay of the National
    Solid Waste Management Center. An actual demo in
    Works of Art using Recycled Materials for
    children and adults will be performed by the
    multi-awarded eco-artist Ms. Zheena May Lorilla.
    Entertainment like an infotainment disco and
    musical concert from 6 to 11pm to entice the
    youth sector are considered as well.
  • The Agri-Aqua Network International, Inc. (AANI)
    and the Organic Center and Training Institute in
    cooperation with Organic Producers and Traders
    Association (OPTA), Organic Certification Center
    of the Philippines (OCCP) and the SBSB Foundation
    OFW Center invites the general public to take
    advantage of this opportunity to learn more on
    going organic as well as critical environmental
    issues from April 18 to 20 as the event is free
    entry to the public. Encouraged to also attend
    are farmers, growers and traders groups, consumer
    alliances, environmentalists, celebrities, health
    and wellness groups. and/or individuals who have
    concerns/queries on anything about organic and
    the ecology. Part of the proceeds of this event
    will fund the information and educational
    campaigns of the AANI Herbal Garden Health and

    And the climate change brought about by the
    global warming phenomenon. Filipinos should get
    into the passion for natural healthy living, come
    face to face with organic businesses and other
    organizations that are working hard to train,
    inspect, certify and monitor anything organic. Be
    inspired with information on environmental issues
    and going organic because it improves our health,
    and the health of our farm eco-system.
  • Trade Fair, Bazaar, Exhibits Demos of a wide
    variety of exhibitors offering everything from
    organically certified, fairly traded, humane,
    natural and green products/goods.
  • Talks, Symposiums Entertainment from people
    with an interest in fair trade projects,
    ecological sustainable programs, lifestyle,
    herbs, arts and music.
  • Partner Institutions, along with environmental
    groups, organic farmers, growers and traders
    groups, various cooperatives. The organizers have
    invited the Department of Agriculture, Chamber of
    Herbal Industries in the Philippines, Inc., DENR,
    DOST, Philippine Agency on Fisheries, Quezon City
    Government, Quezon City Parks Development
    Foundation, AANI Herbal Garden Health and
    Wellness Movement, Friends of AANI, ISDE
    (International Society for Doctors of
    Environment), Union of Concerned Society, Academe
    (UP, Ateneo, La Salle, Miriam, UST, etc.) Green
    Peace, EarthSavers Movement, celebrities, artists
    and many others.
