• A secure and private area to store their work.

• A resource to enhance communications between
  staff and students.
• Blackboard access
• An account to gain access to Blackboard, and
  learning materials for all enrolled modules.

Interoperability - what do mean by that

• NICIS
• NICIS only provide core MIS functionality.
• NICIS is interfaced to provide data for other
  core ILT services.
• Windows Accounts
• Student accounts are created using periodic
  updates via CSV files.
• Student accounts are automatically created using
  live NICIS data.
• Blackboard
• Blackboard maintain duplicate internal username,
  password, module enrolment.
• Periodic CVS uploads from MIS to keep information
  updated.
• NICIS Blackboard automatically synchronise to
  maintain data integrity.
