allocated to putting in place
- Physical resources - JANET network, computers for
staff and students - Management structures - ILT strategy, ILT
Champions, ILT/E-Learning Standards - National Learning Network (NLN) - materials and
support
3But what about staff training?Is there
sufficient funding?
- Many colleges use their overall budget to deliver
staff training programmes, but QCA accredited
qualifications for staff, only funded by the LSC
if followed in twilight hours - Is this affected by government policies for
priority funding for basic skills etc?
4Barriers to effective implementation of e-learning
- Lack of funds for staff training and
accreditation - Lack of time for staff to gain confidence in
using ILT with learners - Lack of access to the kit by learners
- Resistance by some staff and learners
- Technical problems and support
- Isolation

sessions
